Terms and Conditions of Use

Last Updated: June 8, 2026

Welcome to Uprobity (the “Platform”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our platform, which provides (1) document and background verification ecosystem for Universities and Consultants, and (2) Career Counselling and advisory services for Students.

1. User Roles & Account Eligibility

By registering, you agree that you fit into one of these specific user categories and will abide by the rules governing that role:

  • Students: Individuals seeking career counseling, resume building, profile evaluation, or authorizing the verification of their academic credentials.
  • University Users (Institutions): Accredited educational bodies or board authorities verifying academic records.
  • Consultant Users (Verifiers): Registered corporate consultancies, background check agencies, or hiring partners verifying credentials or providing third-party recruitment/placement support.

2. Multi-Party Rules & Responsibilities

A. For Students

  • Counseling Disclaimer (No Guarantee of Outcome): Career counseling, psychometric tests, and resume evaluations are advisory only. We do not guarantee university admissions, job placements, or visa approvals. Any decision you make based on counseling sessions is entirely your own responsibility.
  • Accuracy of Information: When booking a counseling session or submitting documents for your profile, you guarantee all information is accurate. Submitting fake transcripts or inflated CVs will result in an immediate ban.
  • Verification Authorization: By listing your university and requesting/allowing verification, you explicitly grant us permission to act as your intermediary to contact your institution.

B. For Consultant Users

  • Mandatory Candidate Consent: You explicitly warrant that you have obtained legally binding, written, or digital consent from the Student before initiating a university verification request.
  • No Data Misuse: Verification data obtained through this platform must strictly be used for the specific background check requested. You are legally forbidden from selling, scraping, or caching student records for secondary databases.

C. For University Users

  • Authority to Verify: By registering an institutional account, you warrant that you are an authorized representative of the university registrar, administrative board, or verification department.
  • Data Integrity: The University is solely responsible for the accuracy of the verification status (e.g., “Genuine”, “Fake”, “Record Not Found”) provided back to the platform.

3. The Cross-Verification & Data Flow Framework

To maintain trust, all three parties operate under this strict data flow structure:

4. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

For Counselling Services (Students):

  • Booking & Attendance: Counseling sessions must be rescheduled or canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee.
  • Refunds: Counseling fees pay for the expert’s time. Once a session has been conducted, it is non-refundable.

For Verification Services (Consultants / Universities):

  • Processing Fees: Fees are charged for the act of processing a verification request.
  • No Refund on Negative Outcomes: If a University marks a submitted document as “Forged” or “No Record Found,” no refund will be issued, as the verification service was successfully completed.

5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

All users agree to a zero-tolerance policy regarding the following behavior:

  • Uploading or processing forged certificates, degrees, mark sheets, or identity proofs.
  • Using automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to harvest university or consultant profiles.
  • Impersonating a university official, a candidate, or a registered consultancy.
  • Harassing, abusing, or defaming career counselors or platform staff.

6. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Material

  • All counseling resources, psychometric frameworks, structural verification layouts, algorithms, and website content belong exclusively to [Insert Company Name].
  • Students retain ownership of their personal resumes and credentials, but grant the platform a limited license to securely transmit these to designated universities and consultants to execute requested services.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • As-Is Intermediary: The platform acts as a technology bridge. We are not liable for any human error, delays, or data inaccuracies originating directly from a University’s registry or a Consultant’s internal processes.
  • Indirect Damages: In no event shall the platform be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including lost career opportunities, job loss, or tuition losses—arising out of counseling advice or a delayed verification response.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of M.P. India. Any legal disputes, claims, or proceedings arising out of these terms shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Jabalpur.
